Add an existing device
Connect a machine you already use
Choose Existing device to bring a computer you already run — a Mac, a Windows PC or a Linux machine — under Anywhere AI. You pick its operating system and run the installer for that platform; no new hardware or image is needed.
Supported systems
- macOS — Apple-Silicon or Intel
.pkginstaller. You enable Remote Login as a prerequisite. - Windows — an
installer.cmd. WSL is set up as a prerequisite. - Linux — a curl-based install command, with any prerequisites shown as prompted.
Connect the machine
- Choose Existing device.
- Select the operating system — macOS, Windows or Linux.
- Set a device name (checked for uniqueness) and complete the OS-specific prerequisites: on macOS enable Remote Login; on Windows set up WSL; on Linux follow the prompts.
- The app shows a device ID and a download for that platform — the macOS
Apple-Silicon or Intel
.pkg, the Windowsinstaller.cmd, or the Linux curl-based install command. - Run the installer / command on the machine.
- The app waits for the device to check in.
- On success it jumps straight to the device's configuration page, ready to use.
Adding a device counts toward your plan's device limit; see Licence & billing.
